Moore House

It took me a while to check in because I arrived after 5PM. Carried my luggage to the front door, telephoned the establishment since nobody answered the door. Then carried my luggage to the bar a few meters down the road, waited ten minutes for four bar guests to be served and then carried my luggage back to the front door of the BnB. The bar tender showed me the breakfast lounge and took me to my room. It was newly renovated, very clean and water and milk was found in the fridge. Sounds from the street could be heard throughout the night, but the following morning the staff made up for the challenges I had faced so far. The breakfast was fantastic and I was lent a charger for my laptop. I left my luggage in the lounge area while going for some errands, and worked there for a couple of hours afterwards. The premises were clean and enjoyable and I would gladly stay at Moore House again.

Moore House is a true gem. Charlotte, Kendall, and Danielle provided exceptional service, making our stay unforgettable. Kendall’s cooking is incredible—every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We came from Henley-on-Thames for just one night, but car trouble kept us another. No complaints at all—we were well taken care of. The rooms are stylish, creative, and full of charm. Hastings is a hidden treasure, and Moore House is the perfect place to experience it. A five-star stay all around! Thank you!

We stayed for 2 nights as we were celebrating a 50th birthday with friends and this B&B was perfectly located. I would highly recommend this B&B! Our room, RX1, was clean, tidy, had a comfortable bed and a very nice shower room. The decor of the whole guesthouse was tastefully done to a high standard, more so in the dining/lounge area. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was perfectly cooked. I have zero negative experience here and would definitely book again.

We had the most wonderful stay at Moore House in Hastings, Our room was absolutely incredible – spacious, beautifully presented, and even had a chilled bottle of fizz waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was out of this world – so many delicious options, all cooked and presented to perfection. Luckily the weather was nice and sunny so we were able to enjoy breakfast outside which is covered in flowers and it is just stunning. We have been so well looked after by the whole team. Every member of staff was friendly welcoming, and so attentive. A special thank you to the lovely Charlotte, who went above and beyond to make us have a lovely stay in Hastings. Thank you for an amazing stay – we can’t wait to come back xx

We stayed in room RX6 for a long weekend and had the most wonderful experience. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and offered a real sense of comfort and style. The B&B itself is tastefully designed and in a perfect location, just a short walk from the old town. During our stay, we also visited Porters next door (part of the same complex), which is a lively and welcoming wine bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was vibrant, the service excellent, and the food and drinks selection outstanding. Breakfast, which was included in our package, exceeded expectations. With plenty of fresh options and everything cooked to order, it was the perfect start to each day. A special mention must go to Charlotte, our host, who was warm, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She truly made us feel at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be returning.

A great guest house. The location is in the popular Old Town, and the sea front is not far. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is superb, with plenty of choices. Danielle does a great job of hospitality. I have stayed at Moore House twice now, and will likely come again. It has become a home from home very quickly, and serves my needs as base when I go to visit my elderly Mother. I highly recommend it.

Everything was absolutely perfect... we stayed in room 7 which has the freestanding bath, the room was done in such a high standard. Our breakfast was amazing and offered a fantastic selection of food. The location also couldn't be better for everything that you need.... thank you for having us.

Really loved staying at this hotel! The location is perfect for Hastings Old Town. It's a great base to explore the town from and easy to pop back to pick things up or drop your shopping off. I was travelling alone and felt safe the whole time. I don't drive and this was a good location to explore the town on foot. It's about 15 minutes walk from the station and then once you're at the hotel, you're right by all the nicest stuff. The room was super clean and I'm really picky about hotels, but was instantly comfortable here, even to walk in the room barefoot. The bathroom was HUGE and the rooms come with everything you need, plenty of towels etc. There's even a little fridge so you can have fresh milk and chilled water in the main room. The breakfasts were really lovely and the hosts were fab, so that was a great way to start the day. I had both veggie and meat breakfasts during my stay - the veggie breakfast was great and really nice, but the bacon was seriously something else. Very very good. There was quite loud music from the bar next door on one night, but it was good music (live jazz, I think the singer is a bit of a local legend!) and it ended by 11. Next time I might check ahead to try and watch the show! Apart from that, it's pretty quiet and peaceful, I didn't hear anything from the other rooms even though there were other guests in. Really pleased with this find, will definitely be going back again.
